Books like these feel a bit like divination engines. Different quotes will mean different things at different times and to different people. So I hesitate to share all the advice atoms that struck me as I read them. Despite that, Iām sharing a few here.
Art before laundry.
In the garden, dig a $100 hole for a $10 plant.
As a metaphor, this extends far beyond the bounds of the garden (as does the garden as metaphor).
The chief prevention against getting old is to remain astonished.
To remain astonished I think you must remain curious (specifically non-algorithmically mediated curiosity). Which is why I think curiosity is a superpower.
